This was straight from my imagination, and it is one of the first paintings I created without a reference photo. I let the brush follow my mood and soon realized I was telling a story of calm in the storm. Look at the sky; there is a storm brewing. Now look at the flowers; they are serene and living as if the storm will pass and all will be well. A lesson for all of us because storms do pass, and weather improves. When a storm is brewing, consider the gentle flowers who, even in the mist of chaos, find their “Peace at the Beach.”
